Sun and moon base set released February 3rd, 2017 featuring The, First, Generation 7, Pokemon, Rowlett, Litton and popplio being the starters, the Sun and Moon legendary Pokemon are solgaleo the mascot of Pokemon sun and lunala.

The mascot of Pokemon, Moon, Sun and Moon base set has 149 cards and 14, secret rares sun and moon base set marked the first time Japanese booster boxes did not have a first edition.

Print run only having the unlimited collection sun and collection Moon booster boxes, the Sun and Moon era introduced rainbow.

Rare.

Secret rare cards.

My very first rainbow rare card was a gumshoes card out of a Dollar Tree.

One dollar pack Sun and Moon Bay set had five different Packards.

Normally there's only four, but with sun and moon base set.

We got the three starters decidueye and cineroar Prime Arena and the legendary Pokemon as the pack Arts.

The main product line for sun and moon base set consisted of Booster, Box, Elite, Trainer boxes and theme decks.

There was a lot of other products, single pack blisters, three pack blisters.

The three card mini packs from the dollar store.

But today we're going to be focusing on the main product line, and the top 10 cards from sun and moon base set.

Let's, go ahead and let's talk about the sealed products and then we'll talk about the top 10 cards here.

The first thing we're going to talk about is the sealed product sealed, product is King for me, personally, I always buy into sealed, product and I limit, my exposure to single cards to mainly my Personal Collection.

The first thing we're going to talk about today is the sun and moon base set booster box as you can see here.

The current value, you of a sun and moon booster box is right around 230 dollars last year.

This time a booster box would set you back right around 199 dollars, which means that there's been about a 31 dollar growth over the last 12 months, which is a 15 increase, the lowest listed Booster Box on TCG player.

Right now.

Let's, go ahead and pull that up the lowest listed unopened booster box of sun and moon base.

Set is 264 dollars.

This booster box right here is not an actual booster box.

It's just 36.

Loose packs.

You want to avoid these loose pack listings there's.

They just do not hold the same value as a sealed booster box.

So with the lowest listing being 264 dollars, you can expect a lot of growth with the sun and moon base set booster box in the upcoming months.

The next thing we have here are the two Elite Trainer boxes for sun and moon base set.

The current value of these is between 65 and 70 dollars the value for these last year was actually MSRP, because there was a massive restock of these.

You could pick these up at Walmart and other box stores for MSRP for numerous months, I, picked up as many of these as I could with how old the product was.

Once these disappeared, the price was just going to go right back up.

And it did the price increased by between 56 and 66 percent.

Since those items stopped being restocked.

The lowest listed price of these is right around 68.63, which is more than what the current value or market price is as you can see here, the lunala Elite Trainer Box.

The lowest listed price is 67.95.

So you can actually expect a little bit of growth with the elite trainer boxes along with the booster boxes.

Just based off of the market prices looking at the price history on TCGplayer.

You can see where that restock hit these just went way way down.

They never really got down to MSRP on TCGplayer between January and may there's been a massive amount of growth for the elite trainer boxes for Sun and Moon, the lunala.

And the solgaleo Box are basically the same percentage-wise and price wise there's, not one that's really sought after more than the other next we're going to talk about the single booster pack price, the single booster pack for sun and moon base set is almost seven dollars this time last year, MSRP 3.99 because of that, massive restock, if you go in here and you look at TCGplayer, you can see the massive Spike happening right as all of those Elite Trainer, Box disappeared from the market sun and moon base set was printed in everything similar to how XY Evolutions was in every single collection box, mini 10 and just every product.

You can think of for many many years sun and moon base set was similar.

It had a massive print run similar to the end of the XY era.

And it was just readily available all the way up, really until 2022 where you can see the massive spike in price starting to happen.

The top 10 cards from sun and moon base set have extremely limited market value, just because of the massive print run.

And just how many of these were available for a long period of time, the Lily full art has a current value of 64 4.50.

Last year.

This time, the value was basically three times less there's been a massive buyout on female full art.

Trainer cards, that's been happening lately, which has caused the growth of the wheelie full art to go up by almost 200 percent in the last 12 months, the lowest listed copy of the Lily full art is 85 right now on TCGplayer.

So there is a lot of room for more growth for this Willy full art from the sun and moon base set.

The PSA 10 value is 340 more than double what the value was this time.

Last year.

The current population in the PSA 10 is 169.

It does show psa9 PSA, 8 all of the PSA prices.

It shows the last sold on the graph down here.

You can actually click on these little dots, and you can remove certain grades and only see the PSA tens if you would like, or you can look and see just the PSA nines versus the psa-8s.

This website has a lot of good information.

If you scroll down a little bit more it'll show you the last sold copies, the date the grade the price and the eBay listing where you can actually check out the eBay listing just by clicking on the link here.

And you can see who it was sold by just a really good overall useful website that I like to use to keep track of PSA cards.

I do not keep track of any of the item cards where the value is basically all from people who play the game.

The gold Nest ball is the second most valuable card from sun and moon base set last year.

The price of this card was right around 10.66 when the standard format rotated They removed quick ball and added nestball as the main search option, which made this card spike in price by almost 300 percent.

Grading item cards, even the gold versions is just not advisable.

All of the value from the item cards is based on the player base wanting to add these to their deck.

The third most valuable card from sun and moon base set is the rainbow, rare Umbreon GX.

The value of this card has stayed about the same over the last 12 months.

The PSA 10 price has actually come down quite a bit because the population has increased pretty dramatically over the last 12 months.

You can pick up a PSA 10 copy of the rainbow rare Umbreon for right around 156 dollars.

The Espeon GX is right below it it's.

One of the very few cards that has increased in value inside of the sun and moon base set the Espeon GX along with the Umbreon honestly has a lot of upside.

If I were to buy into cards from the sun and moon base set I would be looking at the rainbow, rare Umbreon and the full art Umbreon along with the rainbow, rare Espeon.

You can see the lowest listed copy of this card is still right around 30, which lines up with the other sales and market pricing, Ultra Ball switch and the psychic energy.

All of these cards are based off of the current player base.

These cards are used in just about every single deck.

Ultra Ball has had numerous reprints dating all the way back to the black and white era where they had the first a gold, Ultra Ball, all the way up to brilliant Stars where they had the most recent gold, Ultra Ball, which has really limited the price of this causing it to crash down by about 40 percent over the last 12 months switch.

Another item card.

You don't want to mess with grading item cards as you can see I just left these completely blank I don't, even gather the data because it's just not even worth knowing outside of if the card is playable or not the psychic energy is being used in a lot of decks Gardevoir lost box right now, which just seen a massive spike in price.

The market price says, it's around 17.65 cents on TCG player.

But the lowest listed copy is 34.99.

So you can expect a big jump in price for this card.

Once people start buying them at this higher price.

We have the rainbow rare solgaleo coming in at number eight.

We have the full art Umbreon at number nine and the rainbow rare lunala at number 10., not a lot of upside with these The Umbreon GX does have considerable value and is profitable to grade.

If you get it in a PSA 10, even with the PSA 10 price coming down from over a hundred dollars to around 76 dollars if you could pick up a 10 Umbreon GX, spend fifteen dollars to greater than a 10.

you're looking at doubling your money on that card, but that's, if it comes back into PSA, 10.

sun and moon cards are pretty notorious for their bad quality control, uh, their centering isn't, always the best.

And honestly people selling on TCGplayer.

Normally don't put their mint copies of cards on this website.

They normally grade them themselves.
